"succeeded in making AMNESTY FLAG, FLAG MI"

Testimony of Angel Sanchez Campuzano, a young activist in the LGBT Group 44

"It was in 2007 that I first saw the banner of Amnesty International. It was at gay pride march 2007.

This time, as every year, I attended the march to fight, support, defend and endorse our rights as LGBT people and Mexican citizens.

The impact it had on me that picture was amazing, was realizing that I was not the only one who thought it was necessary to fight for our rights, it was not the only one who thought to show their disagreement and the need for a change.

contingent That flag and that made me feel special, defended, protected, supported, understood, and with the desire to do something.

go That group saw that day in June 2007 is the same on Saturday [last] rose again to stand up and I was pleased to see them again there.

Best of all this is that now I was part that group.

Friends, part of Amnesty [International] makes me feel special, I'm happy to have the opportunity to work to change what we do not think that is unfair and that oppresses us and are proud to raise voice on behalf of an international organization that fights on all sides by human rights.

But what makes me happiest is knowing that together we will make the changes happen.

I can only thank them for their courage, dedication and effort and thank you very much for letting me be part of the group because thanks to you I managed to flag Amnesty also my flag. "
