The World Day Against Homophobia ( May 17), Amnesty International Mexico invites you to participate in activism day organized by the LGBT Group 44 under the dual purpose of denounce homophobia and discrimination by sexual orientation and gender identity , and sensitize the population about importance of eliminating all discriminatory practices .
With the motto Respect for Human Rights of Every Person! HOMOPHOBIA STOP! , the action takes place at the center of Coyoacan this Sunday May 17 from 3 pm to 7 pm
For many lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people ( LGBT), the most common experience violence is the suffering in their homes , schools and centers work, or on the street .
In Coyoacán, early 2009, we learned of two young gay who reported being threatened and expelled two craft flea market traders that every Sunday is placed in the Garden Hidalgo ( Anodis ). Marco (26) and Alvaro (21) were run of the place with threats because "they were hugging and kissing in front of some children." Express their affection publicly as a couple was the subject of his "removal" of this place. Any expression of homophobia in our city?
Amnesty International argues that all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, should enjoy all human rights described in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights .
The day's activities include: echo and the signing of UAs, the poster presentation of the "Discriminate dehumanizing," "The tree of rights' and advocacy groups carrying signs against homophobia and sharing information and post alluding to the day.
