HUMAN RIGHTS ARE ESSENTIAL TO ADDRESS THE EPIDEMIC

I. DD.HH. VIOLATIONS OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV / AIDS

Around the world, people living with HIV remain subject to serious and different ways of stigmatization and discrimination . They risk losing their jobs , their communities are isolated and denied equal access to goods and services needed to enforce their rights, and even protection law. It i nadecuado the access to medical care and treatment for vast majority of people living with HIV .

II. HIV, AIDS AND HUMAN RIGHTS

Human rights are fundamental to addressing the HIV epidemic AIDS. The abuses against them can affect individual and public health .

On the one hand, human rights violations reinforce the epidemic by making people more vulnerable to infection. The discriminatory policies and practices may give rise to deny people access to information, support and services necessary to make informed decisions and reduce their vulnerability and the risk of infection.

This right includes medical care and the essential conditions for good health as drinking water, adequate food, sanitation and shelter. includes access to quality health services, affordable and culturally acceptable and to health-related information .
